Year three of LTL’s shadow draft along side the San Francisco 49ers. Here are links to the 2013 and 2014 squads. I would happily take my haul both years. One rule: draft when 49ers are on the clock. No alternate trade projections. This will be updated throughout the weekend with my picks and analysis of […]
Nothing has changed in the top 4 since the combine for me. Cooper is still No. 1 and the more I watch, the more obvious it is he’s top guy. Overall, it’s a very deep group. Not on par with 2014, but still tons of depth and something for everyone.
This week’s nominee is Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong versus Oregon State CB Steven Nelson. Why I love this cut-up, is the much smaller Nelson (5-10, 197) almost completely shuts down the highly touted Strong (6-2, 217), who caught only four balls when matched up on the OSU defender. One of those was a quick […]
While the 2015 wide receivers can’t hang with the absurdly talented and deep 2014 class, this is shaping up to be another good year for pass-catchers. These grades aren’t final, as there is more film to watch and players to add. Final grades will be posted in April. Until then the board is fluid, but I […]
In honor of the collective Hollywood ass-slap that is the Oscars, LTL would like to bring you multimedia truly worthy of the title “Best Picture”. Last year’s winner (as voted by me) was Jason Verrett of TCU versus Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry of LSU. This year I’d like to be more democratic. Feel free write […]
Film of the Year: Jason Verrett and TCU versus Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry and LSU. Great matchups and somehow all three prospects come out looking like studs. Now this is American Hustle.
The 2014 class of receivers is both top heavy and extremely deep thanks to a ton of underclassmen. Pick your flavor, because there something for everyone. 1. Sammy Watkins, ClemsonExplosive playmaker. Natural hands. Rare prospect who has 4.4 speed and plays with toughness. Absolutely the #1 WR, but not quite in the class of bigger […]
Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State6-1, 212, 4.56 Strengths:strong hands, plays big, wins catch point, productive Weaknesses:average speed, good not great size, raw Summary:Davante Adams declared for the draft as a redshirt sophomore. He was Derek Carr’s go-to guy at Fresno State. Adams produced gaudy numbers with 233 catches for 3030 yards and 38 TDs in only two seasons. He ran a […]
officialsf49ers: Breaking News: 49ers Agree to Terms with Anquan Boldin. Sign two year contract! http://www.49ers.com/news/article-2/49ers-Agree-to-Terms-with-Anquan-Boldin/c78f8471-68ba-48e1-b28d-6e287bdcd0a0 2 years/$12 million for Anquan Boldin. Great deal for both sides. Does this put CB and S as draft needs ahead of WR? Or does this just mean they want Boldin around to work with the young draftees at the […]
This is the first installment of the “I Like ___ More Than You” series. These are the players that would likely land on team LTL. First up, the all-time leading receiver in SEC history — Jordan Matthews. Matthews finished his career at Vanderbilt with one of the best resumes in college football. Yet, with every […]
